陸域観測技術衛星2号「だいち2号」（ALOS-2）は、陸域観測技術衛星「だいち」の後継機です。地図作成・地域観測・災害状況把握・資源探査の幅広い分野で利用され、私たちの暮らしに様々な形で貢献してきた「だいち」のミッションを発展的に引き継ぎます。
2014年5月24日に、H-IIAロケット24号機により打ち上げられた「だいち2号」には、4基の小型衛星が相乗りしました。
