The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is the primary performance agency of the Japanese government responsible for overall aerospace development and utilization.

In responding to the public needs, JAXA develops ground-breaking new aerospace technologies, promotes new businesses to expand the industrial base and reaches out to new, non-traditional aerospace industries.
Within JAXA, We are principally responsible for promoting the development and expansion of the aerospace industry by
- Supporting the aerospace industry’s R& D activities
- Introducing the use of aerospace technology to non-aerospace industries (spin-off)
- Promoting the use of non-aerospace technology to aerospace (spin-in)
- Providing opportunities for space environment utilization (e.g. experiments onboard the International Space Station (ISS), and satellite data provisions)
